Travel with my Mom and kids in Boracay (Blog # 9)

I just wanted to share my mom’s birthday celebrating in Boracay, i decided to celebrate her birthday in Boracay because it's her first time to travel domestic but she went to other country before because she's work there she's an OFW. As a 1st daughter I wanted to give her happiness because of the hard work she put in for us. Let’s see how i celebrate her birthday of course with the kids.

And because it's her first time in Boracay, I thought of giving her a good hotel like 4star to 5star so that she can enjoy more her vacation on her birthday.

Just after checking in, my mom first felt the bed , Just see my mother smiling i'm happy too and I can feel her happiness. After we check in, we immediately leave the hotel to go around and we don't want to waste our time

I took my mom to the rooftop of the hotel but she didn’t want to swim because she was so tired from the trip and the water in pool is so cold.

(Salubong) her birthday, we had dinner at another hotel so we could also feel another hotel, not just our hotel. Trying other hotel because we might not be able to return to Boracay right away. And I requested the dancers of that light to sing a happy birthday to my mom .i don't know how to call them that's why i called them dancers of the light haha😂😂

The next day and the other day of course we didn't want to waste a time so we went on an island hopping tour right away.

Of course our last day we finished the activities we needed to do, we made our time in the hotel swimming pool and some conversation with mom. After the heart to heart  conversation we came back in our room and it's time to check-out and leave the Boracay😢😢 I can't show the time of our leave, because our faces are sad as if we don't want to leave on vacation but we have to.

This is how we ended our 4 days in Boracay even though it was a short vacation but it's worth it and I saw that the effort I made with my mother was a success. Simply eat at another restaurant, tour in the hotel, go island hopping, conversation while on chill time we all enjoy. That's how we made the most of the holidays and my mother's birthday.

My Travel Tips (Blog#8)

WELCOME TRAVELER!!

If you are student like me and you love travel, budget-saving traveler, I think this can help you and this blog is for you!

I will give some travel tips based on my experience and for people who don’t have enough budget like me as student and it can also be help for people who are saving their budget. Let me share my travel experience in Boracay Aklan.

The pictures I show are just some samples for those who want to save money but it's worth it.

1st tips -Know the Season

You need to know the month of your travel because there are so-called low season (Habagat) and high season (Amihan). Low season is from June to October and High season is from November to April, is also summer months but best weather to visit there for me is November not so crowded, not everyone busy, also cool month and the airfare and hotel is not really high.

2nd tips -Airfare and Hotel 

In Boracay there are two airports Kalibo Airport and Caticlan Airport, For International fly it is better to use Kalibo airport and ride a van, ferry and tricycle 3 vehicle you have to ride and for Domestic Fly it is better to use Caticlan airport ,no need to ride a van just ride a ferry and tricycle just 2 vehicle you will ride for more faster.

Wait for the airfare promo you must book ticket earlier even your travel date is far away same as hotel. Don't look for a 5stars hotel I think the 3start hotel can be used to save more and the hotel where you can cook and when you are booking a hotel they will offer you a pick-up for your convenience but if you are budgeting your money i think commute by yourself is cheaper.

         3rd tips -  Activities

In Boracay, there are offer many activities. If you like activities such as island hopping, my tips are to wait the other tourist that can go with you in that activities at the same time so that it is cheaper. Don't go solo in activities or don't go solo island hopping.

4th tips - Foods

When it comes to food, don’t eat in social restaurants if the hotel you got can cook, it’s better that you just cook for yourself because there is also a market to buy right on the island. Or if you don’t know how to cook there are also fast food restaurants and canteens. 

I hope that somehow my little knowledge of travel helped. Even though I am not that good at traveling but the tips I gave are based on my experience and that's what I do every time I travel. Top 5 "Pasalubong from the different places" (Blog#7)

Whenever I travel to different places I never forget to buy a “Pasalubong” or souvenir. The reason why I always buy "Pasalubong" or souvenirs is so that if I can’t go back to that place I have a souvenir that can remind me and feel the pleasures i have in that place. So let me show you my top 5 "Pasalubong" or souvenir i bought somehow I can give a tip to those who also love to buy souvenirs/pasalubong.

                                         

Sto.nino

When i went to Cebu my mother and my grandmother keep remind me that don't forget to buy a Sto.nino.So i ask them why?i said, there is a lot a Sto.nino in Quiapo .But, they told me that there is a story about Sto.nino from Cebu i don't know what is the exactly story but my mom said if i buy Sto,Nino from The basilica Menor del Sto.Nino Church Sto.Nino it's giving luck and miracle. So i bought three and gave them to my mom and grandma and for me.So i think this is the top 1 best souvenir i bought from my travel.

                                                      

Bagoong isda,Dry fish,Vinegar

In Laoag, Ilocos there are many delicious dry fish while you are on the way you can see the sellers lined up on the side of the road I bought that when I was on my way home because I forgot to buy 'Pasalubong" but i am lucky that i saw on the side of the road. For me, it's a little bit cheap than in the market and it's so delicious and my family love it.

These are the souvenirs you can buy in Coron, Coron is also known for its dried fish but I forgot the price of these and many other souvenirs that can be purchased such as native bags, shells, wooden carvings, magnet refrigerators and more. This is the only I bought because I have bought a lot in different places before like refrigerator magnets etc.

In the picture that is what I bought at the Bangui windmill,Ilocos. They also have many kinds of souvenirs for sale. Their replica wooden windmills come in different sizes and colors. What I remember is they range from 150 to 300 each. In the Bangui, Windmill there is one or two souvenir shops located there.

When you are in that area the wind is strong because of the fan spinning. When you look up you can see their size how big they are. Believe me or not when you are there you can feel like you are child😅 because you will be amazed when you are there until now i still amazed even i just imagine and then you felt like you wanted to touch or carry them😄 but its impossible happen right ?. So because of their replica windmill souvenir you can carry and hold the windmill 😁😁😁 you can try to spin that lol. So you could be losing your childish mind 😂

There is nothing different about other souvenirs you can also buy in Puerto Princesa,Palawan like the first pictures I posted. They sell keychains, wallets, wooden craving, etc. I bought more key chains because as far as I can remember I was given a discount haha. And the ashtray is very cute and looks sturdy and cheap. For 1k you can buy a lot of souvenirs because the sellers are kind and you can ask when it comes to discounts. The same goes for other sellers in different places.

So that is the top 5 souvenirs i bought from the different places I've been.

                                                     

Cebu + Bohol Travel with Friends (Blog#6)

The trip with my friends was so much fun, Why? If you have a crazy friend with you and I'm crazy too, a lot of nonsense 😂😂😂. ​​A place doesn't end because of too much taking pictures, with the amount of places to go only one place will end 😂😂. So now you should also spend time reading my sixth blog so you can also feel how crazy we are. Let's start!!!!

Same luggage, Same bag, Same white and black clothes that's how crazy we are when we travel together. We just don't have the same face😂😂😂😂We  thought we would wear the same clothes and other thing too to grab attention ,because we lack of attention😄😄😄 Anyway our travel destination is Cebu to Bohol let's see together how beautiful place in Cebu and Bohol.

Why we choose Cebu and Bohol?
We chose Cebu and Bohol because the ticket is cheap for us. I'm not sure to others traveler, but for someone like us who doesn't have a big income i think Cebu and Bohol only that we can afford and that fit in our budget. Then the advantage here that you can still go to two places, because Cebu and Bohol are very close to each other very convenient for us. With the three of us that place is my 3rd time but i still recommend to my friends because the beautiful landscape and the water of the beach is so clean.
                           As you can see, only our flatulence has no picture✌😊

                                      

Arrive in Sirao Garden

That place was our first spot when we arrived in Cebu, The landscape is so beautiful but our picture is just stupid😂its so embarrassing what were going to do as if there's no one else around. The landscape of Sirao Garden was so perfect.

                                          

2nd spot Taoist Temple

As i know the Taoist Temple is the Temple of  The Great Wall of China, they have ritual pray every Wednesday and Sundays. And the stairs we are sitting on, as far as i know is 81 steps my friends called the stairs breath taking stairs up. Then when you reach the top when you go inside it is not allowed to take pictures. I think its manner for the prayers.

Should even in the picture are always the same position😓😓😓In our group we came to deal that everything should be same if one of us does not comply she should pay for our lunch or dinner.

Its our first night in Cebu so we're still active in everything, when when we're asleep were the same sleeping wear. The only thing we're different just snoring with different sounds 😂😂😂

In the next day our 3rd spot is in Whale shark its very exciting there because while we're waiting you can see the whale shark at the above of the sea, and the tourist who feed it are all screaming. So even we're just waiting we are also screaming. We can't wait to feed them and to see them under the sea how big they are, we can feel that while waiting because of their screaming. Scary but challenging.

                                                          

Going to Kawasan Falls

In the province they called single motor Habal-Habal. So we ride habal-habal to the falls because only habal-habal can be ride there. I guess in 5min we arrived in the falls.

Arriving at the falls yes still falls charot✌✌The Falls area is clean. Its even fun because not only falls you can see or experience there, they also have a fish spa for foot. If you don't know how to swim like me you can sit and relax in the fish spa while your friend enjoy swimming, yes sad because you can't swim but they can't called you killjoy haha because you can say to your friends that you enjoying fish  spa. i guess you can understand what is my point...(when they know that you don't know how to swim they having fun if they can drown you)😅😅😅that's my crazy friend style✌✌

Our trip in Basilica del Santo Nino was not in the plan ,so it was all of a sudden. When we are arrived there we didn't think the sleeveless or short were not allowed, Its so sad because we're all wearing long dress and sleeveless. For our trip we didn't want to waste it. So we decide to rented a blazer because they have blazer for rent.(Bahala na kung may amoy unang gumamit haha kesa masayang gala namin)😂😂

Going to Bohol

We took the port to Bohol, As you can see we look tired compare to our first day. Travel it's not a joke, especially if it's just a few days of vacation you'll really want to go every tourist spot because it's not easy to come back there again and  if you given a chance to travel again of course we want another place.am i right?

So while we we're there we really wanted to get to all the tourist places and the problem was how could we get to all the tourist places if we spent our time for taking a picture only. Selfie is Life i can't blame them or you because the places are really instagrammable. All i can say is that we should be good at managing time when we travel. what i am saying is just based on my experience 😂 don't get me wrong please.

                                                               

Chocolate hills,Bohol

Chocolate Hills is one of the top tourist spot in the Bohol so of course we don't want to missed that kind of place. Before you can reach the best spot for taking a picture you need to climb the high stairs but im not sure how many stairs there before you reaching the top. When we arrived at the top the wind was strong, that's how it was because you were in the high part, wind nothing else was hit. so that's why the wind strong.

That is not our final destination in Bohol, it's only up to here because my blog has been around for a long time. My Memorable picture in the different places (Blog#05)

                 Welcome to my blog #5 here is the memorable story in my life let me share you guys..

Coron, Palawan

This place is in Coron, Palawan this was is my first photo that i can say very memorable to me, why memorable? this is my first time visit to Coron, there i am about to die because we did not expect storm/typhoon to hit us in the middle of our island hopping. I was so scared as i saw the height of the wave i said to my self im gonna die right now, that's funny thoughts right? even while im typing this story i remembered everything it's very scary. So next time if i go to Coron again after this pandemic i will make sure there is no typhoon or storm😂Coron is one of the beautiful island in the Philippine.

Baguio was one of my memorable place also because it's my first travel with my sister, we have a big family so it's not easy for us to  travel together so that time i was so happy and i saw her happiness too. That was the first and last i had trip with her because she already have her own family and i have my own family too so its hard for us to travel together again. I missed my "NENE" days😍😉

Why was this place so memorable for me? Because this place is my first travel in my life at the aged of 22 maybe. I said to my self when i have a budget and i can travel, the first place i will visit is to Puerto Princesa because i saw in the news that this underground river is said to be 8.2km long and there are many unique things to see in inside.That's why memorable to me.

The place becomes memorable for me when the person i love is the one i'm with in this place, this is the first travel with my ex boyfriend having six year relationship only this place i've been with him. Can't you imagine? 6years relationship we only went to one place together, I also don't know why its because maybe we're both too busy. How memorable is this?😢😢But it's okay after all that, I'm in the good and healthy relation again. Trying to be happy again😍😍😍

                                                          

                                            

Patapat Bridge, Ilocos Norte

Finally my last memorable place again Patapat bridge in Ilocos Norte its because of the number of places i've been to, Ilocos is the best place for me even though we traveled a long time like 8-9 hours drive from manila its okay it's worth it when it comes to the number of tourist spot. This is the only road where you can lie down without fear because it is not a road for vehicle, you can see few cars but their are also tourist who want to take a picture also like me.

Tourism Industry in the times of Pandemic (Blog #04)

 

The First time I heard about the COVID-19 VIRUS and the pandemic Around the World and sadly all the Famous theme parks, Beach Resorts, Hotel and all the tourist spots has forced to close as we faced the Pandemic and as a tourism student I felt so down and sorry about it and I started thinking what will happen  and what’s next for the hospitality and tourism industry.

How ironic that this place was so called “THE HAPPIEST PLACE ON EARTH” but due to the pandemic it is forced to close for several months it was like unsual to see that this place was so dark and you cant see any tourist all over the place.

Because of the big threat of the virus and a lot of people was so afraid of it and the Government give instructions and rule that we need to stay home and do home quarantine so a lot of businesses has been forced to close they can’t afford the bills and all so some of them forced bankruptcy some we’re lucky to do delivery but not all of them has that kind of ability.

 But because of the Pandemic the agri-tourist in our country has grown because there is rules that is implemented around the world so the perfect fit is agri-tourism there is a lot of private farms that has become agritourism farm where a lot of people has been going to this place but still following the rules that’s why farm tourism is in demand because you can follow the rules implemented while you are in a picnic or enjoying your family time so for me as a tourism student this is the good effect of the pandemic some has closed and lost some businesses but there are some who has saw another opportunity to open a business and  now agri-toursim here in our country is in demand.

Coron Palawan while in the Boat

I miss that place even though the weather was not good on the day of our trip ,but we still enjoyed that place because of the beautiful view, the water is so clear you can see the beautiful coral under the sea.

I was very tired at that time because we went to so many Island, but i did not expect that they would serve us that much and delicious food. It's called food trip while on the boat.

That Place is in Palawan El Nido as you can see the first picture is in Palawan also. Its because i really like the island in Palawan the people there was so kind to us, They know the right way to entertain to their guest, they know how to make the guest satisfied in their travel, by simply serving delicious food they make their tourist happy. So that tourist keep coming in that place, People are all get tired while exploring, the others they don't notice because they enjoy while exploring. It's less fatigue when stomach are full.In that picture i stop swim and do food trip on the side of beach when I'm full swim again. This is how i enjoyed my travel, don't get hungry for the good mood. Sometimes people are irritable when they hungry, Am i right?😜 because when I'm hungry, I am also irritable.😜

Hidden Garden Restaurant Vigan

It was a famous restaurant in Vigan, They called it "The Hidden Garden Restaurant", of course i don't want to miss it. I went there and did a food trip. But when i arrived to their restaurant i just wasn't eating because they have a lot of selfie spots, So what i did is i ordered food first so i wouldn't waste my time while i'm waiting. And then i go to the selfie spot and taking a picture. I was entertain in their restaurant. The funny thing is i expect only natural/normal restaurant, but i'm wrong.😅

If you are going to a place like i went, you should be curious and identify the food in their area. You also need to try as an a experience and find out the difference between their food and your food. I said that because base on my experience and that's also part of exploring. That's why i travel to try the other things as well as unique food and also a reason why we should try their food because we don't immediately or always going back to where we're going, especially if it's far away sometimes expensive. If we can not even go back at least we've done it all. That's one of their the best seller they called it Buko Halo-Halo. It was so delicious especially in the summer.

Do i look like child in that picture? Its look like its my first time to try tasted a ice cream, but its okay this is my happiness while traveling it's relieves tiredness and make's my mood good.
